Mary Ellen Burns

 Mary Ellen Burns is an attorney whose areas
of interest/expertise encompass telecommunications, communications,
energy, antitrust, and environmental law. She is especially interested
in competitive markets in telecom and energy as well as in the impact
of new communications technologies and the regulation of communications
industries on democracy. She has been an Assistant Attorney General in
the New York Attorney General’s Office. She served at the Federal
Communications Commission during the Clinton Administration. She is a
graduate of Harvard University and New York University School of Law.
In addition to the areas of expertise and interest mentioned, she
recently examined voting issues in New York in the wake of new
federally-imposed obligations. She resides in New York City.
